Prize Breakdown*
1 Grand Prize: $7,500 gift card, and a free PSE HomePrint home energy audit
2 Second Prizes: $2,500 gift card, and a free PSE HomePrint home energy audit
65 Third Prizes: $500 gift card
Prizes will be awarded in the form of gift cards to a Lowe's or Ace Hardware store in your community. All contest prizes will be awarded in late November, following Energy Efficiency Month.
Contest open only to WA residents who are and have been PSE residential electric customers, and lived in the same dwelling, since 10/1/08 and are 18 or older.
How to win
Those PSE residential electric customers who earn the highest number of points can win!
Earning Points*
Participating customers will compete to win the most points. Points can be earned by:
ATTENDING:
One of 16 Rock the Bulb Tour – Unplugged Events
- Exchange up to 10 incandescent bulbs for free CFL bulbs - 50 points
- Visit three lighting activity stations - 25 points
- Stop by the PSE HomePrint booth and talk with a PSE Energy Advisor and/or attend a 15 minute on-site class about energy conservation – 25 points
PLEDGING:
Pledge to save energy at home online or at a Rock the Bulb Tour – Unplugged event – 5 points
VOLUNTEERING:
Join PSE partner Project Porchlight to hand out free energy-saving bulbs in your community, either door-to-door or at a community event. Sign up at porchlight.org - 30 points
RECRUITING:
Recruit others to sign up for the contest at rockthebulb.com 5 points per recruit (maximum 100 points)
REDUCING:
Your home's electricity use during October '09, compared to October '08 - 20-100 points:
- Top 10% of Savings - 100 points
- Second 10% of Savings - 80 points
- Third 10% of Savings - 60 points
- Fourth 10% of Savings - 40 points
- Remaining 60% of Savings - 20 points

Winners will be notified by 11/30/09. 68 prizes will be awarded ranging in value from $500 to $7,500 in gift cards to hardware stores (Sponsor’s choice) and home energy audits (total retail value of all prizes is $45,285). To enter, register at rockthebulb.com or at designated PSE Rock the Bulb events and follow directions to participate. Entrants must complete activities to score points.
